We are running U8 - U14 Open House Sessions for the first three Sundays in November. No registration required. Come and try Rugby!

U8 & U10 - 9AM, U12 - 10AM, U14 - 12PM at San Marin High School Novato,
High School at Redwood High at Piper Park on 9th Nov , 2PM
2025-26 Winter Youth and High School Registration Now OPEN
Youth Season runs from November through March with Home and Away weekend matches on Sat/Sun depending on field availability.

Regular Winter Weekday youth TRAINING SCHEDULE Preview:
Under 8s practice Wednesdays from 4-5pm (Location TBD)
Under 10s and 12s Monday and Wednesday practice
4-6pm - or dark
(Location TBD)
Under 14s/Middle School practice Tuesday and Thursdays, 4-6pm (or dark at Marin City Rugby Field)
Boys JV practice Tuesday and Thursday 4-6pm at Hall Middle School
Boys Varsity practice 4-6pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays at Hall Middle School
Our Home matches look to be set for San Rafael High School, and Redwood High School.
Our Away matches are generally within an hour of Marin County
Our Teams
- U8 - Girls and Boys, Flag Rugby. Must be under 8 years old on Sep 1st of the current year.
- U10 - Girls and Boys. Coed Tackle, Two weight classes - Lights & Opens. Must be under 10 years old on Sep 1st of the current year.
- U12 - Girls and Boys. Coed Tackle. Two weight classes - Lights & Opens. Must be under 12 years old on Sep 1st of the current year.
- Boys Middle School - Must be under 14 years old on Sep 1st of the current year or in 6th, 7th or 8th grade.
- Boys High School - Varsity and Junior Varsity.
Unfortunately we haven't had enough players to form a MS or HS Girls team this season. We would love to build a girls team and have a number of young players coming through the youth sides so please reach out for more information.

Rugby Xplorer Information
OVERVIEW
The Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club operates under the national governing body, USA Rugby, which requires all players to be registered on their online platform called Rugby Xplorer. Once you complete your Highlanders registration on Sports Engine, please follow the steps below to also register for the season on Rugby Xplorer.
HOW TO REGISTER THROUGH RUGBY XPLORER
1) Go to RUGBY XPLORER website (link opens in new tab).
2) Enter your email address
-If you have an existing Rugby Xplorer account, you will be prompted to log in - go to step #6
-If you do not have a Rugby Xplorer account, you will be prompted to create one:
3) Create your account and sign up (make sure “USA Rugby” is selected in the Rugby Region field)
4) Verify your account from the email you entered
5) Create your password and confirm
6) Log into your account
7) Click "Register" in the upper left hand corner of the screen
8) Click "Find a Club"
9) Select the person you want to register (if listed) or click "Link a New Person" and enter their information.
10) Search "Marin Highlanders Rugby" in the search bar and select it
11) Choose "Player/Coach/Admin" depending on what you are registering as, then choose your "Registration Type" and choose "Season" under the "Duration" drop down
12) Confirm all personal information is correct and update your emergency contact details
13) Agree to the terms and conditions
14) Process payment,

T & B Sports in San Rafael is the Home of the Highlanders for training and supporters gear.
Team practice jerseys will be avalable to pick up in late November when our order arrives.

We are massively excited to announce that we have continues to grow our partnership with T&B Sports in San Rafael. This year families will be able to take proof or registration receipt to T&B Sports in San Rafael to pick up this years new Paladin rugby training jersey for ages U8 - U14/MS.
For our U8-U12's these jerseys are dual training and match day jerseys. For U14-U18 (Middle School, JV, Varsity) players, these will be the new club training jerseys for this season.
