The Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club is Marin County’s only high school and youth rugby program, and it is an entirely community-based program. Because we are community-based, we are completely self supporting and dependent on support from individual and corporate donors and sponsors to supplement the funds we raise from club dues and fundraising events. One of our basic principles is that every boy who wants to play rugby should be able to.
The donations we receive help us to make good on that promise. They allow us to provide full and partial scholarships to boys aged 8 to 18 who would otherwise not be able to participate.
The generosity of our donors means that these boys can play rugby with all necessary equipment and participate fully in team activities, including tours. In this way we are able to make the rugby experience available to the widest possible range of players from all backgrounds throughout the North Bay.
Former Marin Highlanders have gone on to colleges across the country and many of them have played rugby at the collegiate level. We believe that the experience they had with the Highlanders had a positive impact on that process.
We do have a Highlanders Sponsor program in which we give special public recognition to our sponsors. This is especially popular with professional and corporate donors.
We are a California non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and all donations are tax deductible.
Please contact Dick Gunn at 415-246-7724 to discuss how you can help.
Checks may be made payable to Marin Highlanders RFC and mailed to the club at PO BOX 361, Kentfield, CA, 94914.
