The Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club is open to athletes age 8-18 interested in playing the sport of rugby.  We are an independent club, unaffiliated with any school, serving all of Marin County.  As a club, we are committed to developing each player’s skills to their fullest, both on and off the field.  We hope to field competitive playing sides for all ability levels, but we will always field teams characterized by commitment, discipline, and a love of the sport.

Rugby is the second most-played sport in the world, after soccer.  The purpose of our rugby program is to introduce as many student-athletes as possible to this incomparable sport.  To this end, we maintain a policy of no cuts, accepting everyone into the Club who wishes to play.

It is our goal to teach basic skills and the rules of the game.  We aim to foster pride in individual and team performance, develop a positive team spirit, encourage parents’ involvement, and HAVE FUN playing the game!
