  • Giving Back

The Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club’s financial aid program has been developed to assist players who can’t afford the cost to play rugby. Over the years the Marin Highlanders have given over $50,000 in financial aid. This past year we gave scholarships to approximately 15% of our players.

The intention of the Marin Highlanders Rugby Football Club’s financial aid policy is to ensure that no child misses the opportunity to participate in the great game of rugby due to the expense of our program. Scholarship levels may vary depending on the number of applicants and their needs, but generally range from $125-$500 and there may be 4-6 scholarship players per team.

At this time, we are accepting donations to help those who need financial assistance. Please make your tax deductible donation here.

    GO HIGHLANDERS!

  • Seattle Seahawks Adopt Rugby Tackling

Super Bowl champions reinvent tackling form in the NFL, adopt rugby form in order to prevent head injuries and increase efficiency.

Not only does Pete Carroll (head coach and Redwood High graduate) narrate this, he also intersperses rugby videos, gives credit to rugby, and shows the Seahawks using the same drills that we do!
